St. Patrick’s Day

St. Patrick’s Day

Yesterday was St. Patrick’s day it also happens to be one of the most important days in my life. March 17th 2000 my daughter was born! Yep she turned 15 yesterday. I remember thinking how great it was that she was born in 2000, now I would never forget how old she was, even when I aged! The strange things parents think. Her birthday was a simple day, but a beautiful day. The smile on her face when I woke her up made my heart sing. She got up early to make sure her outfit was on point! I redid her hair the night before so she would be able to style it perfectly.

Then last night when she came home, she talked to her pastor and I heard her say. “I am 15 that’s half way to 30!” The absolute dread in her voice made me want to laugh. It reminded me of when I was in my twenties and would I tease my older friends about being in their thirties. It reminded me that life is glorious at any age.

Celebrate your children no matter how old they are.

Remember to laugh! Love! Have fun! Life is what you make it.
